Today we went on a cable car/gondola. At midday we went to changing of the guards. there was one guard that looked as though it was about to go to sleep. We went on bikes and biked half way around Hyde park. on the bikes you didn't need to wear a helmet. the bikes were blue and the brakes didn't really work they had mud guards which were a bit of a waste of time.

E here. Yes a big day. we were a bit like the children in the book "Katie and Jack in London" with our activities at Buckingham Palace - as well as guards we  saw firing of 30+ canons - not sure what that was all about. Lunch in St James Park. Trafalgar Square and climbed on the lions. Peeked into the National Portrait Gallery but were a bit "museumed" out. Then over to Kings Cross Station and platform 9 3/4 - Harry Potter fans will know about this. Then the British Library where Jack saw the Magna Carta and even lasted through 10 minutes of audio tape before he and I left. Rob and Kate stayed to enjoy this treasure trove. All the time enjoying the wonderful Underground - such amazing stations and under-passes.

  3. Now I have manged to do that I would like to say how much we are enjoying the blogs. Not long now until you are on the canal boat and you will be able to relax and 'muck around' without endless trains and walking. Say 'hello' to Diana for me and also tell her I expect her to get you well trained in the first week.
