Thursday - caught train to Oxford. E writing as Jack a bit under the weather. Too much excitement in London - have to admit to being a bit sad to leave this vibrant city. Have two days for wandering around ancient colleges and Kate is asking about study options here; we said that we would visit her. Jack got told off for walking on the grass at Christ College - mum and Kate told off for sitting on the stone wall.If you are a student you can walk and sit anywhere.

Met up with our friend Diana who is going to be with us for the next 10 days and it was wonderful hearing about her time in Northern Italy.

Staying in a youth hostel while in Oxford - good for children to see different ways of travelling. The only thing  that children haven't experienced is grey and rainy England - have now had a week of perfect summer weather.
