E here - helping Jack get his word count up on his blog. First full day in London. After a huge sleep - 12 hours for Jack - we arose to a grey and cold London day.
We walked along the Thames path to Greenwich Park. Amazing how they have re-developed the old docklands area into something quite liveable. Spent several hours going to things maritime and even saw the time ball drop at the Old Royal Observatory and then set our watch to GMT.
Caught a double decker bus into "town" and saw Big Ben, Westminster, the Millennium Bridge and numerous other London sights. A quick taste really and going back tomorrow for a proper look. Then exhaustion and the heat got the better of us (yes hot and sunny by day end) so we came "home" to our apartment.
Jack here now - today we went to the National Maritime museum. I drove a ship simulator. It was really fun.
I touched a cute little squirrel. He sniffed my hand then climbed up a tree.
I sat by a big sphinx. It was made out of bronze and was really tall.
